Personal and Professional Change

-Are you stuck at a crossroads in life, in work? -Do you need help in choosing the next step? -Is it a struggle to make the changes you really desire? -Or are you having difficulty readjusting after a change has happened to you? If so, maybe you need to pause and think through the best way to move forward. I can help you to do this in a way that is objective and realistic but also optimistic. You will then be equipped to think more clearly, be confident in the decisions you make and become the best version of yourself. As a coach, I help clients in personal or professional areas related to change: Dealing with change – perhaps you feel unsettled by changes that are taking place in your life and need to take some time to think through how to readjust so that you can live positively in your new circumstances. Making change happen – maybe you know you want to change something and need help with developing your confidence and/or motivating yourself to make it happen. Finding direction for change - maybe you want to make a change but lack direction. You need to take time to think through what your strengths and values are so that you can live authentically. Working out why change is hard - perhaps you realise that you have a habitual way of working or behaving that is holding you back. Maybe you have unsuccessfully tried changing your habits before and need to work out what it is that is impeding your progress. Practical help for change - perhaps you would like practical help in preparing for a job application/interview or presentation.

Academic Coaching

-Have you started studying at undergraduate or postgraduate level? -Is it stressing you out? -Are you wondering if you have the right study skills? -Is it a struggle to fit studying into your busy schedule? If so, maybe you need to pause and think through how you are approaching your studies. I can help you to do this in a way that is objective and realistic but also optimistic. You will then be equipped to plan your studies around the other aspects of your life, with the confidence that you are working in the most efficient way. As a coach, I help clients in areas related to academic study: Stepping up to a higher level of study – maybe you have started an undergraduate or postgraduate degree and you need to build your confidence that you know what is expected of you. Developing study skills – perhaps you don’t know if you are studying efficiently or not. You could benefit from developing a way of studying that takes account of your personality and your individual strengths and weaknesses. Managing time – maybe you are finding it hard to meet deadlines. You may need help breaking down seemingly insurmountable tasks into manageable chunks and making an action plan. Keeping a positive mindset – perhaps you sometimes wonder if you should just give it all up. It would help to take time to think through how you can best keep yourself motivated for success over the longer term.

What to Expect

The coaching programme aims to help you to become more self-aware and to develop your thinking skills so that you can find a clear path through the issues you are facing in life.  I will guide you through this process and support you to make your own decisions about how to move forward.

Typically, I would recommend that you sign up for an initial set of three sessions separated by 3-4 weeks each time.  In the first session we will explore what it is that has brought you to coaching and set it in the wider context of your personal or professional life as appropriate.  In session two we will pick up the most relevant theme and help you work through, for example, dealing with indecision, procrastination or perfectionism, or identifying assumptions you are making that are holding you back.  Session three would be an opportunity to reflect on progress made and any other issues that had emerged.  You will then be in a position to reassess your initial goal and progress and decide if further coaching sessions would be helpful.

Fees: £200 for a programme of 3 one hour sessions.
